Chair of president's administration denies information that Bakiev left the country

The chair of the president's administration of Kyrgyzstan, Kanybek Zhoroev, denied the information that the President of Kyrgyzstan, Kurmanbek Bakiev, had left the country, the agency reports citing 24.kg.

Bishkek. April 8. Kazakhstan Today - The chair of the president's administration of Kyrgyzstan, Kanybek Zhoroev, denied the information that the President of Kyrgyzstan, Kurmanbek Bakiev, had left the country, the agency reports citing 24.kg.

"I inform that K. Bakiev did not leave the country and has been at his workplace in the Government House," K. Zhoroev said.

He denied the information that the country leaders consider leaving Kyrgyzstan. "The situation is difficult, but it is under control."

"All guilty of death of people and organization of massacres will bear personal responsibility according to the legislation of the country," he underlined.

There have been demonstrations protesting against increase of tariffs of housing and communal services for the second day in Kyrgyzstan. The day before, the meeting broke out in the city of Talas. The protests have taken place in Bishkek, Talas, Naryn, Tokmak (Chu area), Cholpon-Ata (Issyk-Kul area). Kyrgyzstan government declared state of emergency. 17 people have been killed.
