CIS Defense Ministers confirm military cooperation development

Almaty. December 14. Kazakhstan Today - Council of CIS Defense Ministers confirmed commitment for military cooperation development.

According to Caspionet, representatives of Kazakhstan, Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan analyzed the activities of the Council in 2012, and approved a work plan for the next year. Kazakhstan delegation was headed by the Minister of Defense Adilbek Dzhaksybekov. Defense ministers discussed a draft concept development of the unified system of state radar identification. On the meeting there was approved a program to improve metrological support, considered issues of standardization of topographic surveying and navigation of the armed forces of the States Parties.

The participants also discussed the preparations for the celebration of the 70th anniversary of victory in World War II. The Minister of Kazakh defense held working meetings with colleagues from Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Belarus.
