Constitutional Court of Azerbaijan made results of presidential elections public

The Constitutional Court of Azerbaijan approved results of the presidential elections at today's session, the agency reports.

Baku. October 22. Kazakhstan Today - The Constitutional Court of Azerbaijan approved results of the presidential elections at today's session, the agency reports.

The President, Ilham Aliev, received 88.73 % of votes, the chairman of Umid Party, Igbal Agazade - 2.86 %, the chairman of Great Creation, Fazil Gazanfaroglu - 2.47 %, the chairman of the Unified National Front of Azerbaijan, Gudrat Gasanguliyev - 2.28 %, non-party member, ex-vice chairman of the opposition party of the National front of Azerbaijan, Gulamguseyn Alibeyli - 2.23 %, the chairman of Liberal-Democratic Party of Azerbaijan, Fuad Aliev - 0.78 %, and the chairman of Modern musavat Party, Hafiz Gadzhiev - 0.65 %.

The presidential elections of Azerbaijan took place on October 15, 2008. 75.12 % of voters took part in the elections. More than 57 thousand ballots of voters in 8 polling districts out of 5359 sites were recognized void due to infringements.

As it was informed earlier, inauguration of the president will take place within three days after approval of the results of elections by the Constitutional Court.
