The Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Republic of Poland organized a roundtable discussion at the Polish Press Agency (PAP) entitled "Constitutional Reforms in Kazakhstan: Pathways of State Development and Transformation", dedicated to discussing the new Constitution and the prospects for the country's further political and institutional development, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan reports.

The event brought together representatives of Poland’s political, expert, academic, and public circles.

Opening the event, a representative of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Poland emphasized that the constitutional reform had become one of the most significant milestones in Kazakhstan’s political development since independence and marked the beginning of a new stage in building a Just Kazakhstan.

It was emphasized that the new Constitution, approved by citizens through a nationwide referendum, was the result of broad public dialogue and a comprehensive modernization of the country’s constitutional framework.

Particular attention was paid to the fact that the Constitution significantly strengthens guarantees for the protection of human rights and freedoms, property rights, privacy, and personal data, while also enshrining citizens’ rights in the digital sphere.

Participants discussed the importance of the constitutional reforms for the further development of democratic institutions, the strengthening of the rule of law, and the enhancement of public administration in the context of digital transformation.

Representatives of Polish think tanks highlighted the importance of maintaining an open international dialogue on state-building, constitutional development, and democratic reforms.

The roundtable concluded with an exchange of views on opportunities for expanding cooperation between the expert and academic communities of Kazakhstan and Poland.
