Creation of CSTO CRRF not to be postponed

Creation of Collective Rapid Response Forces Contract (CRRF) of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) will not be postponed, in spite of the fact that Belarus has not signed this document. The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Andrey Nesterenko, informed at the briefing in Moscow, the agency reports citing RBC.

Almaty. June 18. Kazakhstan Today - Creation of Collective Rapid Response Forces Contract (CRRF) of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) will not be postponed, in spite of the fact that Belarus has not signed this document. The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Andrey Nesterenko, informed at the briefing in Moscow, the agency reports citing RBC.

"Belarus has reserved the right to sign the documents accepted at the CSTO session, including the document on CRRF creation. Despite the fact that Belarus did not sign the document at the summit, the CSTO member countries made a decision to consider the signed documents legitimate.

As informed earlier, Foreign Minister of Russia, Sergey Lavrov, stated, on June, 14th, following the results of the session of the CSTO Council of Foreign Ministers that "absence of Belarus does not serve as an obstacle for signing of a package of CSTO documents."
