Criminal scheme under the auspices of the NSC officials and customs officers disclosed within the Khorgos case

Almaty. April 24. Kazakhstan Today - In the framework of the Khorgos case disclosed a criminal scheme under the auspices of the NSC officials and customs officers was disclosed, Kazakhstan Today reports.

"The investigation revealed a criminal scheme of an organized criminal group (OCG), which is patronized by officials of the National Security and Customs Enforcement. They, using their official position, ensured the smooth passage of contraband goods through customs checkpoints Korgas, Kalzhat and Dostyk," General Prosecutor's Office of Kazakhstan in connection stated with the completion of the investigation of the Khorgos criminal case.

According to the General Prosecutor's Office, "today in criminal liability for committing grave and especially grave crimes involved 45 persons, including 3 employees of National Security Committee, 15 customs officers. On the criminal case arrested 42 defendants, 3 persons remanded "on their own recognizance not to leave". 19 accused were put on the wanted list."

The perpetrators were disclosed along with the scheme of smuggling goods from China to Kazakhstan, retrieval, and the legalization of illegally obtained funds. According to the conclusions of the customs authorities, the cost of the imported and detained in 2011smuggled goods was 1.5 billion tenge.

There were revealed 34 controlled companies registered on the nominees, who were receiving main contraband cargo and brokers, who executed documents on criminal scheme.
