CSTO Defense Ministers discussed strengthening of military cooperation

At the session of the Ministerial Defense Council of the CSTO member countries the parties discussed the questions of strengthening of military cooperation, the Defense Minister of Kazakhstan Daniyal Akhmetov informed on Friday, the agency reports.

Bishkek. October 1. Kazakhstan Today - At the session of the Ministerial Defense Council of the CSTO member countries the parties discussed the questions of strengthening of military cooperation, the Defense Minister of Kazakhstan Daniyal Akhmetov informed on Friday, the agency reports.

"We have considered more than 20 issues concerning increase of potential of the organization," D. Akhmetov said at the press conference following the results of the CSTO session. "We discussed the questions regarding the budget and deeper integration and air space control," he added.

As it was informed earlier, the CSTO Defense Council session took place on Friday in Bishkek in the state residence Ala-Archa. The CSTO Secretary General Nikolay Bordyuzha, the Ministers of Defense of Russia - Anatoly Serdyukov, Kazakhstan - Daniyal Akhmetov, Tajikistan - Sherali Hayrulloyev, Belarus - Leonid Maltsev, Armenia - Mikael Arutyunyan and vice Defense Minister of Uzbekistan Rustam Niyazov took part in the session.
