CSTO Parliamentary Assembly Council condemned Georgia for genocide of Ossetian people

The Council of Parliamentary Assembly of Collective Security Treaty Organization (PA CSTO) condemned Georgia for genocide of Ossetian people and declared that military actions of Tbilisi in South Ossetia have broken possible political dialogue between the parties of the conflict, the agency reports referring to the statement widespread on August 13 by CSTO Council of Parliamentary Assembly.

Almaty. August 14. Kazakhstan Today - The Council of Parliamentary Assembly of Collective Security Treaty Organization (PA CSTO) condemned Georgia for genocide of Ossetian people and declared that military actions of Tbilisi in South Ossetia have broken possible political dialogue between the parties of the conflict, the agency reports referring to the statement widespread on August 13 by CSTO Council of Parliamentary Assembly.

The members of PA CSTO declared that engagement of the army by Russia in the territory of non-recognized republic became an "emergency measure" for protection of the peaceful population and the Russian peace-making contingent.

The representatives of the parliaments of CSTO member countries have addressed Georgian leadership with an appeal to turn down any plans on carrying out of military actions in South Ossetia.

CSTO participants, created in May, 1992, are Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
