CSTO Parliamentary Assembly Council session took place in St. Petersburg

The CSTO Parliamentary Assembly expressed serious concern by changes of configuration of military presence of NATO in Europe.

Astana. November 2. Kazakhstan Today - The CSTO Parliamentary Assembly expressed serious concern by changes of configuration of military presence of NATO in Europe. The statement accepted at the session of the Council of Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization of Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) informs, the agency reports referring to the press service of the Majilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan.

The chairman of the Majilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan Aslan Musin presented Kazakhstan at the CSTO Inter parliamentary Assembly council.

According to the press service, the statement of CSTO Inter Parliamentary Assembly Council informs on creation of the area of antimissile defense of the USA in Poland and the radar station in Czechia and is considered as an intention to allocate the elements of the USA antimissile defense in the immediate proximity to the borders of the CSTO member states that is capable to exert destructive influence on the developed potential of restraint of the CSTO states.

Expansion of antimissile defense in Czechia and Poland will serve as the factor of decrease in the level of mutual trust and can provoke further development of rocket arms in the world, members of the Parliamentary Assembly Council consider.

The chairman of the parliamentary delegations, arrived in St. Petersburg, have addressed the parliaments of the European countries with an appeal to achieve unequivocal and basic estimation of negative consequences of the change of configuration of NATO military presence in Europe, the Majilis press service informs.
