CSTO, SCO member states to hold antiterrorist exercises

Almaty. May 19. Kazakhstan Today – The CSTO and SCO member states plan to hold antiterrorist maneuvers for Armed Forces, said head of Russian Armed forces General staff, army general Yuri Baluevskiy, agency reports, referring to RIA Novosti.

“Now we are working over joint maneuvers of SCO member states. As you know, the SCO includes all CSTO member states,” Y. Baluevskiy has said.

These maneuvers are directed on a problem of struggle against terrorism. The terms of their realization will be consulted with heads of General staff of SCO countries,” he has explained.

The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) includes Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) includes Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
