Culture Minister supports amendments in the law on mass media

Astana. June 9. Kazakhstan Today – Minister of Culture and Information of Kazakhstan Yermukhamet Yertysbaev does not consider amedments in the law on mass media to be dreadful. He has declared it on Thursday, presenting the law to Mazhlis Committee on socio-cultural development, agency correspondent reports.

“This is absolute lie and nonsense! I don’t know where it comes from. Here is the bill; it has been officially ratified by Government. Do we have mental people in government to introduce such crazy modifications?! This is not true,” he underlined.

The Minister considers that modifications have been introduced exclusively on constitutional basis. “Because if something would have been unconstitutional, wrong, Prime Minister Danial Kenzhetaevich would never sign the bill and send it to Mazhilis,” he explained.
