Development of business in Kazakhstan - at insufficient level

The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Masimov, commented on the insufficient level of development of business in Kazakhstan at the presentation of the new edition of year-book Doing Business 2010: Carrying out Reforms During Hard Times, the agency reports.

Kazakhstan Today - The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Masimov, commented on the insufficient level of development of business in Kazakhstan at the presentation of the new edition of year-book Doing Business 2010: Carrying out Reforms During Hard Times, the agency reports.

"Undoubtedly, there has been some progress. Social surveys demonstrate activity of the enterprises, but, at the same time, this is not fast enough, in my opinion. We could have achieved more and we should do more," K. Masimov said.

He also said that there will be market economy in Kazakhstan. "The alternative to the market economy - private competition will hardly replace the market economy in the near future. Private property will remain, competition between enterprises will remain, but, maybe, there will be more regulations," the Prime Minister considers.
