Documents check toughened in Urumchi after mass riots

Check of documents in the streets in the administrative centre of Xinjiang Uighur Autonomous District of the Peoples Republic of China have been toughened in Urumchi where mass riots took place on July, 5th, the agency reports citing Xinhua.

"According to the order of the local authorities, all townsmen and visitors should have identity documents," Xinhua informs.

According to Xinhua, the police of Urumchi has the right to detain anyone who will not have any documents. It is strictly forbidden to carry dangerous objects, including bludgeons and knives.
