The elections in Kazakhstan passed transparently and lawfuly. The chairman of the CIS mission of observers, Evgeny Novozhilov, informed during the briefing on Saturday, the agency reports.

Astana. October 7. Kazakhstan Today - The elections in Kazakhstan passed transparently and lawfuly. The chairman of the CIS mission of observers, Evgeny Novozhilov, informed during the briefing on Saturday, the agency reports.

"The international observers from the CIS countries consider the elections of deputies of the Senate of Parliament of Kazakhstan taken place on October 4, 2008, were transparent and free and were held according to the election legislation operating in the Republic," E. Novozhilov said.

"The Kazakhstan party has provided necessary conditions for observers that enabled them study and estimate the work of the territorial election commissions on organization of carrying out of the election process."

"Political conditions in Kazakhstan during the election campaign was characterized as stable that created favorable conditions for publicity and openness of the election process," the chairman of the mission said.
