Expansion and reconstruction of pre-Caspian pipeline to allow increase gas pumping - Russian President

Almaty. May 14. Kazakhstan Today - Reconstruction and expansion of the system of the pre-Caspian pipeline will allow to increase gas pumping by 12 billion cubic meter by 2012. The President of Russia Vladimir Putin said following the results of the tripartite summit in Turkmenbashi, the agency reports referring to RIA Novosti. V. Putin noted that a near-Caspian route has been opened by the Turkmen party request. "We have already pumped over 4.2 billion cubic meters and can extract 10.5 billion cubic meters," the Russian leader said.

In his turn, the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev informed that the pre-Caspian pipe-line on the territory of the Republic will be built by the Kazakhstan party, and by the Turkmen party on the territory of Turkmenistan that further will be joined in the old system of Central Asia-Center or the other pipe-line.
