"Our problem to transform forest parks into wood. The problem is to join forest areas of Astana, Shortandy, Borovsky and Zerendinsky zones. Wood will start to grow then," N. Nazarbayev said.

According to the head of the state, 45 thousand hectares of new wood around Astana have been planted and 15 thousand hectares were planted earlier. 60 thousand hectares of forest areas have been planted around the city. There will be no dust in the city and secondly, air humidity, and thirdly, these are the 'lungs' of the city," he explained.

According to the President, the program until 2015 has been accepted, according to which 5 thousand hectares will planted annually. "By 2015, 75 - 80 thousand hectares of wood will be planted around the city," N. Nazarbayev said.
