Government approved amendments to Law on State Purchases

Today at the session the government approved the bill on amendments and additions to the Law on State Purchases, the agency reports.

Astana. October 11. Kazakhstan Today - Today at the session the government approved the bill on amendments and additions to the Law on State Purchases, the agency reports.

According to the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Masmov, the document will be brought in Parliament next week.

According to the Prime Minister, the amendments to the Law on State Purchases have been introduced on behalf of the President, N. Nazarbayev.

According to the Minister of Finance of Kazakhstan, Bolat Zhamishev, the main purposes of the bill are elimination of preconditions for corruption offences and introduction of the system of electronic state purchases.

The document expects increase of competitiveness of domestic suppliers of goods, works and services.

According to B. Zhamishev, "electronic state purchases will be carried out as an alternative way in 2009." Since 2010 it will be the only way of realization of state purchases through price offers.
