Government approved rules of exemption from VAT on imported goods

The government of the Republic of Kazakhstan has approved the rules of exemption from the tax to the added cost on imported goods, the agency reports citing the governmental decree of Kazakhstan №1229 of December, 23rd, 2008, the text of which was published in the official mass media on Friday.

Kazakhstan Today - The government of the Republic of Kazakhstan has approved the rules of exemption from the tax to the added cost on imported goods, the agency reports citing the governmental decree of Kazakhstan №1229 of December, 23rd, 2008, the text of which was published in the official mass media on Friday.

The present rules of exemption from the tax to the added cost on imported goods have been developed according to item 2, Articles 255 of the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan of December, 10th, 2008 on taxes and other obligatory payments to the budget (Tax Code). Tney define the order of exemption from the tax to the added cost on imported goods.

The present rules apply to legal and physical entities carrying out import of goods to the customs territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
