Government confirmed technical regulations of safety requirements to oil and gas equipment

The government of Kazakhstan confirmed technical regulations of safety requirements to oil and gas, bore, geological exploration and geophysical equipment, the agency reports citing the decree of December 29, 2009 №2231, published today in official mass media.

Almaty. February 23. Kazakhstan Today - The government of Kazakhstan confirmed technical regulations of safety requirements to oil and gas, bore, geological exploration and geophysical equipment, the agency reports citing the decree of December 29, 2009 №2231, published today in official mass media.

"Oil and gas, bore, geological exploration and geophysical equipment presenting potential danger to lives and health of people and the environment, not corresponding to safety requirements established by the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan of April 3, 2002 on industrial safety on dangerous industrial objects, of July 21, 2007 on safety of cars and equipment and to the technical regulations, are not allowed to be used in the territory of Kazakhstan."

"The measures for accident precaution and localization of their consequences must be developed and implemented at all stages of a life cycle (designing, manufacturing, transportation, installation, operation, repair, preservation, liquidation) of oil and gas, bore, geological exploration and geophysical equipment.

The decree will come into force after six months from the date of its first official publication.
