The government of Kazakhstan considers three possible scenarios of economic development of Kazakhstan depending on economic dynamics in the analytical report of the project of the republican budget for 2010 - 2012 presented in Majilis of Parliament on September 14.

Kazakhstan Today - The government of Kazakhstan considers three possible scenarios of economic development of Kazakhstan depending on economic dynamics in the analytical report of the project of the republican budget for 2010 - 2012 presented in Majilis of Parliament on September 14.

The first scenario defined in the document as "pessimistic" assumes decrease of the world price for oil in 2010 down to $30 per barrel and its further increase up to $35 in 2011 and up to $40 in 2012 - 2014.

The second scenario assumes stabilization of the situation in the world commodity and financial markets and improvement of conditions of external loan. The world prices for oil in 2010, according to the second scenario, will be at level of $50 per barrel with further increase up to $60 in 2011 - 2014.

The third scenario, "the optimistic scenario", the world prices for oil in 2010 will be at level of $60 per barrel with further increase by 2014 - up to $85.

"Proceeding from the current economic situation, the most probable scenario for Kazakhstan is the second."
