Government pays off debts to other states without sufficient legal work

The government of Kazakhstan pays off its debts to other states, however, often does so without having carried out sufficient legal work. The chairman of the Accounts Committee for Control over Execution of the Republican Budget of Kazakhstan, Omarhan Oksikbaev, informed during the joint session of the Chambers of the Parliament of Kazakhstan, the agency reports.

Astana. June 23. Kazakhstan Today - The government of Kazakhstan pays off its debts to other states, however, often does so without having carried out sufficient legal work. The chairman of the Accounts Committee for Control over Execution of the Republican Budget of Kazakhstan, Omarhan Oksikbaev, informed during the joint session of the Chambers of the Parliament of Kazakhstan, the agency reports.

"Kazakhstan without having carried out sufficient legal work, paid off its debts to Turkmenistan and Russia for the sum of more than 4 billion KZT," he explained.

"The government often overlooks monitoring of agreements to protect the economic interests of the country."
