Government to lower rates under hypothecary credits

The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Masimov, today at the expanded session of faction of the People's Democratic Party Nur Otan in Parliament of Kazakhstan said the government of Kazakhstan made a decision to lower rates under hypothecary credits, the agency reports.

Kazakhstan Today - The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Masimov, today at the expanded session of faction of the People's Democratic Party Nur Otan in Parliament of Kazakhstan said the government of Kazakhstan made a decision to lower rates under hypothecary credits, the agency reports.

"The credit rate will not exceed 9 % annual in tenge for socially unprotected groups of the population and the employees of social and budgetary sphere, for other borrowers - 11 % in tenge.

All the categories of citizens who fall under this criterion have an opportunity to re-finance in those banks in which they took those credits under this reduced price program," the Prime Minister said, having added that the decision to increase the term of deposits till 20 years has been accepted.
