Astana. May 4. Kazakhstan Today - The government of Kazakhstan has revealed defects in formation of strategic plans and memorandums by the central state bodies and will reconsider its approaches. The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Masimov, informed today during the government session, the agency reports.

"I assigned to analyse realisation of strategic plans and memorandums in the central bodies for 2009. Some defects have been revealed," K. Masimov informed.

In this connection, the Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Economic Development and Commerce "to prepare the methodical basis for development of strategic plans until May 20."

"The strategic plan should be focused on the key strategic directions and the goals, instead of covering all fields of activity of the state institution," K. Masimov noted.

"We need to toughen the requirements to formulation and selection of the strategic objectives, goals and indicators. Their quantity should be limited." "The strategic objectives, goals, and the result indicators should be co-ordinated with the budgetary funds," he underlined.
