Industry Ministry suggests transferring some of its functions to other ministries and departments

The Minister of Industry and Commerce of Kazakhstan Aset Isekeshev suggested during the government session transferring a part of the functions of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce of Kazakhstan to other ministries and departments, the agency reports.

Astana. June 2. Kazakhstan Today - The Minister of Industry and Commerce of Kazakhstan Aset Isekeshev suggested during the government session transferring a part of the functions of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce of Kazakhstan to other ministries and departments, the agency reports.

"To realize the plan of industrially-innovative development we need to coordinate the work of the state bodies, state holdings, and regional authorities, A. Isekeshev said.

"Therefore, we, according to your assignment, suggest strengthening the Ministry of Industry," A. Isekeshev said, addressing the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Masimov.

According to A. Isekeshev, now the Industry Ministry of Kazakhstan is responsible for the complex of questions of economic character and frequently these functions have no powers and corresponding resources for their effective execution."

K. Masimov assigned the Cabinet of Ministers to consider the proposal at the next session.
