Kazakhstan Today - The Nuclear program of Iran has been developed exclusively for peaceful purposes that prove to be true in the report of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), published on February 22. The Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary Ambassador of the Islamic Republic Iran to Kazakhstan Romin Mehmonparast informed on Monday at the press conference, the agency reports.

IAEA during half a year of the work in Iran has received responses to all six questions and has reflected them in the report. In particular, the questions concerned plutonium, two generations of centrifuges for enrichment of uranium, steel and iron uranium, one of the deposits, and also the source of pollution on one of the objects.

"The application of IAEA Secretary General Mohammed El Baradei that all the problems have been solved testifies that all the charges concerning Iran are groundless. America is simply obliged to apologize for unworthy behavior and unreasonable charges," the Ambassador of Iran considers. "The Iranian nuclear program initially had peaceful nature. We did not pursue militaristic purposes. Moreover, we are essentially against creation of the nuclear weapon all over the world, not only in our country," he emphasized in this connection.

According to the Iranian diplomat, America used the Iranian nuclear program as the occasion for obstacle to development of the country. "The reason for the stir is that Iran goes ahead of developing countries. Our country requires high technologies and should protect the rights to peaceful atom," the Ambassador of Iran stated. "To have nuclear technologies is the right of our people," he emphasized.
