Kazakh Ambassador handed over credentials to Lithuanian President

Astana. July 14. Kazakhstan Today – Kazakh Ambassador Tleukhan Kabdrakhamanov handed over credentials to the President of Lithuanian Republic Valdas Adamkus, Kazakh MFA press service informed the agency.

During the conversation taken place after the ceremony, the questions of strengthening and expansion of mutual relations were discussed. The interlocutors positively estimated the current condition, noted significant potential of political, trade and economic cooperation due to dynamic development and strengthening of the international authority of two countries.

Kazakhstan diplomat informed the Head of the Lithuanian state on the development of Kazakhstan, its foreign policy initiatives and its strategy to enter 50 most competitive countries of the world. The Ambassador informed that the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev set the objective to strengthen Kazakh-Lithuanian cooperation in economic area, first of all in the sphere of transit transportations, new technologies and agriculture.

In his turn V. Adamkus, having designated Kazakhstan as "the major partner in Central Asia", informed that Lithuania observes socio-economic and democratic transformations in Kazakhstan. Lithuanian President noted dynamic development of Kazakhstan, its growing role in the modern world and powerful contribution to the cause of strengthening of international security, Kazakh MFA press service informed.
