Kazakh FM held a number of bilateral meetings during UNESCAP session

Almaty. May 22. Kazakhstan Today - During the 63rd UNESCAP session taking place these days in Almaty, the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Marat Tazhin held a number of bilateral meetings with the high-ranking delegates, the agency reports referring to the Kazakhstan MFA press service.

The Kazakhstan Foreign Minister met the Assistant Secretary General of the United Nations Jose Antonio Okampo, the Executive Director of the UN Development Fund for Women Noeleen Heyzer, and the UN Under-Secretary-General and High Representative for the Least Developed Countries, Landlocked Developing Countries and Small Island Developing States Anvarul Choudhuri.

During the bilateral meetings the constructive exchange of opinions on the urgent problems considered at the UNESCAP sessions and the issues of cooperation of Kazakhstan with the UN structures took place.

The same day Marat Tazhin met his Tadjik counterpart Hamrokhon Zaripov and the vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Peoples Republic of China, during which the questions of bilateral cooperation and interaction within the limits of the international organizations were discussed.
