The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, said during the ceremony of presentation of credentials by the Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary Ambassador of Palestine to Kazakhstan on Tuesday, the agency reports.

"Kazakhstan is interested in friendship with Palestine," the President said. "Our countries should concentrate joint efforts on escalation of cooperation in commerce, economic, humanitarian, and cultural spheres," he emphasized.

N. Nazarbayev also touched upon the question regarding the Near East, having noted that "relations of the Palestinian statehood and its territory is a complex process in the Near East." "We have always been on your side and as far as possible Kazakhstan will support measures being undertaken for establishment of peace in this region," N. Nazarbayev said addressing the Palestinian diplomat.

The Ambassador has promised to do his best to strengthen cooperation between Palestine and Kazakhstan.
