Kazakhstan Becomes Founding Member of Global AI Cooperation Organization
During the official visit of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Shanghai, Kazakhstan became one of the 29 founding member states of the World Artificial Intelligence Cooperation Organization, the Ministry of AI and Digital Development of Kazakhstan reported.
The founding document was signed by representatives of all 29 participating countries, including Kazakhstan, China, Qatar, Egypt and Brazil. United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres also attended the signing ceremony.
Headquartered in Shanghai, the new organization will promote international cooperation in artificial intelligence, develop common approaches to its safe and ethical use, and contribute to establishing global AI governance standards.
According to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of AI and Digital Development Zhaslan Madiyev, Kazakhstan's participation in establishing the organization is of strategic importance, as artificial intelligence is becoming one of the key technologies driving the global economy.
The ministry also noted that Kazakhstan has already adopted a law on artificial intelligence, established a Presidential Council on AI, commissioned the largest supercomputer in the region, launched the Data Center Valley project, and continues to develop the international Alem.AI center.

Kazakhstan’s constitutional reform and the upcoming elections to the country’s Kurultai were discussed at a roundtable held at the Kazakh Embassy in Israel. The meeting brought together representatives of the Israeli media, experts and academics.

Eduard Yakubov, president of the Holon Institute of Technology, highlighted the potential for expanded cooperation in advanced higher education, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and digital technologies.
Participants also discussed political, economic and humanitarian ties between the two countries, as well as cooperation in education and technology.

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated Hereditary Prince Alois on the National Day of the Principality of Liechtenstein.

Tokayev calls Congo an important partner for Kazakhstan in Africa
Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated President of the Republic of the Congo Denis Sassou Nguesso and the Congolese people on the country’s Independence Day, the Akorda presidential press service said.
In his congratulatory message, Tokayev highlighted the importance of relations between Kazakhstan and the Republic of the Congo.
"Our country regards the Republic of the Congo as an important partner on the African continent," Tokayev said.

Kazakhstan intends to further develop its strategic partnership and expand cooperation with India, Kazakh Foreign Minister Yermek Kosherbayev said in a message congratulating Indian External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar on the country’s Independence Day.
"Kazakhstan highly values its strategic partnership with India, based on friendship and mutual trust, and intends to continue developing bilateral cooperation across all areas," Kosherbayev said.

Kazakhstan strengthens political and economic ties with Azerbaijan and Serbia

Kazakhstan aims to deepen strategic ties with Pakistan - Kosherbayev
Kazakhstan intends to expand cooperation with Pakistan in politics, the economy, transport and logistics, and security, Foreign Minister Yermek Kosherbayev said in a message marking Pakistan’s Independence Day.
"Kazakhstan highly values its strong friendship and strategic partnership with Pakistan. We intend to continue deepening bilateral ties in the political, economic, transport and logistics, and security spheres, as well as strengthening coordination within international organisations," the foreign minister said.
He also highlighted Islamabad’s growing diplomatic role on the global stage and its constructive contribution to addressing international challenges and strengthening regional stability.

Kazakhstan, Austria discuss stability of oil supplies via CPC
Kazakh Foreign Minister Yermek Kosherbayev and his Austrian counterpart, Beate Meinl-Reisinger, discussed the security of international shipping and the stability of Kazakh oil supplies to Europe, the Kazakh Foreign Ministry’s press service said.
"The parties discussed the security of international shipping and the stability of Kazakh oil supplies to European markets in the context of the situation surrounding the Caspian Pipeline Consortium," the ministry said in a statement.
The two sides also stressed the importance of ensuring the uninterrupted operation of the route, through which a significant share of Kazakhstan’s oil is supplied to Austria, accounting for about 56% of the country’s crude oil imports.
The foreign ministers also exchanged views on current international and regional issues. Kazakhstan’s foreign minister congratulated Austria on its election as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for 2027-2028 and expressed Kazakhstan’s readiness to continue constructive cooperation within the organisation.
The two sides also stressed the importance of maintaining regular contacts and reaffirmed their readiness to further develop practical cooperation in line with agreements already reached, including those following Federal Minister Beate Meinl-Reisinger’s previous visit.
