Kazakhstan conducts serious and uncompromising struggle against corruption

Kazakhstan has been conducting serious and uncompromising struggle against corruption. The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, said at a meeting with the chairman of the Agency for Struggle Against Economic and Corruption Criminality (financial police), Kayrat Kozhamzharov, the agency reports citing the president's press service.

Astana. November 5. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan has been conducting serious and uncompromising struggle against corruption. The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, said at a meeting with the chairman of the Agency for Struggle Against Economic and Corruption Criminality (financial police), Kayrat Kozhamzharov, the agency reports citing the president's press service.

According to the press service, during the meeting, K. Kozhamzharov informed N. Nazarbayev of the work of financial police in regards to suppression of corruption and neutralization of shadow economy.

The head of state said the world community highly appreciates the anticorruption policy of Kazakhstan. However, the domestic mass media often criticize this work.

"We should not give this work up. I was warning this would be a serious work when we were accepting the Law on Corruption.
