Kazakhstan delegation to continue its work at OSCE forum

Astana. October 6. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan delegation continues its work at the annual OSCE meeting on consideration of liabilities in the field of human dimension in Warsaw. Kazakh MFA press service informed the agency.

According to the press service, the representatives of 56 state-participants of the Organization will take part in the forum. For the last days the meeting participants considered the issues of freedom of information and mass media, counteractions to human trafficking, tolerance and non-discrimination, gender equality, humanitarian questions and other liabilities.

During the forum Kazakh delegation headed by the representative of human rights Bolat Baykadamov met the Director of the OSCE Bureau for Democratic Institutes and Human Rights (BDIHR) Christian Strohal. During the talks, the questions of the condition and prospects of Kazakhstan and OSCE cooperation in humanitarian sphere were discussed.

K. Strohal expressed satisfaction with the state of BDIHR/OSCE interaction with Kazakhstan which experience, in his opinion, could serve as a good example for other countries.

In his turn B. Baykadamov informed BDIHR head on the process of democratic transformation of Kazakhstan society and stage-by-stage liberalization of political system in Kazakhstan.
