Kazakhstan during presidency in OSCE should not promote initiative of new architecture of safety in Europe

Dr. Martha Brill Olcott, Senior Associate of Carnegie Fund, said at the international conference in the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan that she considers inexpedient to promote the initiative of Russia on a new architecture of European security during the presidency of Kazakhstan in OSCE, the agency reports.

Kazakhstan Today - Dr. Martha Brill Olcott, Senior Associate of Carnegie Fund, said at the international conference in the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan that she considers inexpedient to promote the initiative of Russia on a new architecture of European security during the presidency of Kazakhstan in OSCE, the agency reports.

According to M. Olcott, Kazakhstan's partner states hope that "Kazakhstan during its presidency in OSCE will solve their issues." In particular, in her opinion, "there is a complex question of Russia related to the new architecture of European security. It is an issue which cannot be solved within one year of presidency in OSCE," the expert considers.
