Kazakhstan government suggests increasing luxury tax on real estate - Masimov

Astana. July 30. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan government suggests increasing luxury tax on real estate. The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Masimov, informed today during the meeting in the Ministry of Finance, the agency reports.

"We consider it necessary to increase tax rates on property of physical entities, on luxury real estate costing from more than 30 million KZT and tax rate on real estate of legal entities from 1 up to 2 %," K. Masimov said.

"I think that it is fair, is a universal practice - if you are rich and if you have an opportunity to pay for it, you pay the appropriate tax," the Prime Minister emphasized.
