Kazakhstan interested in cooperation expansion with European Union - Nazarbayev

Kazakhstan is interested in expansion of cooperation with the European Union. The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, said during the presentation of credentials by the chairman of the representation of the European Commission in the Republic of Kazakhstan, Norber Justin, on Wednesday, the agency reports.

Astana. September 4. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan is interested in expansion of cooperation with the European Union. The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, said during the presentation of credentials by the chairman of the representation of the European Commission in the Republic of Kazakhstan, Norber Justin, on Wednesday, the agency reports.

The leader of the state noted that Kazakhstan has developed state program Way to Europe, the purpose of which is to raise the relations with the European Union to the level of strategic partnership, to involve the European technologies, investments, experience, and to establish cooperation within the presidency of Kazakhstan in OSCE in 2010.

The leader of the state received credentials from Archbishop Miguel Maury Buendia in Kazakhstan.

"Relations with Vatican for our country have special value. We highly appreciate work of the throne on maintenance peace and the dialogue between civilizations and religions. We are grateful to Vatican for support of our initiative in the dialogue of religions and cultures," N. Nazarbayev said.

"The first Congress of the Leaders of World and Traditional Religions took place in Kazakhstan at support of Vatican. We hope that the sacred throne will render active support to carrying out of III Congress of the Leaders of World and Traditional Religions," the President said.
