Kazakhstan not satisfied by level of mutual trade with Syria - Nazarbayev

Kazakhstan is not satisfied by the level of mutual trade with Syria, the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev said during the negotiations with the Prime Minister of the country Nadji Otri and Vice President Faruk al-Sharaa during the state visit to the Syrian Arabian Republic.

Astana. November 8. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan is not satisfied by the level of mutual trade with Syria, the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev said during the negotiations with the Prime Minister of the country Nadji Otri and Vice President Faruk al-Sharaa during the state visit to the Syrian Arabian Republic.

According to the press service of the leader of the state, N. Nazarbayev and Syrian politicians discussed the questions of development of mutual relations and international issues representing mutual interest. During conversation, in particular, they talked about strengthening of formation of legal base of cooperation, the necessity of signing agreements on protection of investments and absence of double taxation.

In the context of world politics the parties exchanged opinions about situation in the region, in particular, peaceful ways of settlement of the Near-Eastern conflict, the situation to Iraq and the situation of nuclear problem in Iran.

"The President Nursultan Nazarbayev emphasized that Kazakhstan entirely supports the policy of the Syrian leadership in international cooperation and economic reforms. In their turn, the Syrian leaders emphasized importance of the first visit of the Kazakhstan President to Syria, the authoritative politician, presenting in the international affairs the important region," the press service informs.

The same day the President of Kazakhstan took part in the ceremony of laying a wreath to the Monument of Unknown Soldier.
