Kazakhstan Parliament prolonged session till July 11

Astana. June 28. Kazakhstan Today - The Parliament of Kazakhstan prolonged the session till July 11. The decision was accepted today at the plenary session of the Senate, the agency reports.

"The government addressed the Parliament with the letter stating the necessity of consideration of the package of the bills directed at realization of the annual Message of the President to the Nation of Kazakhstan," the Speaker of the Senate Kasym-Zhomart Tokayev explained addressing his colleagues. " We discussed the question at the bureau and came to the opinion to prolong the Parliament work. I suggested to prolong the session till June 11," he added.

The decision was supported by the deputies of the Chamber unanimously.

As it was informed earlier, in connection with the pre-scheduled termination of the Majilis powers the duties of the Parliament on legislative activity are executed by the Senate.
