Kazakhstan Parliament ratified European agreements on traffic signs and road markings

The Parliament of Kazakhstan ratified the European agreements on traffic signs and road markings, Kazakhstan Today reports.

Astana. February 10. Kazakhstan Today - The Parliament of Kazakhstan ratified the European agreements on traffic signs and road markings, Kazakhstan Today reports.

According to the press service of the Senate of Parliament of Kazakhstan, deputies of the Upper Chamber at the plenary session today passed a number of international contracts.

In particular, the European agreement supplementing the Convention on road signs and signals, opened for signing in Vienna on November, 8th, 1968, and the protocol on road markings to the European agreement supplementing the Convention on road signs and signals, opened for signing in Vienna on November 8, 1968.

Vice Minister of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan, Amantay Kurenbekov, informed, presenting the bill, the purpose of the protocol is unification by its participants of traffic regulations in regards to road markings, simplification of international road traffic, and increase in road safety.

The protocol was signed in Geneva on March 1, 1973.
