Kazakhstan PM met representatives of Federation of Trade Unions

The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Masimov, met representatives of Federation of Trade Unions of Kazakhstan on Monday, the agency reports referring to the prime minister's press service.

Astana. October 7. Kazakhstan Today - The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Masimov, met representatives of Federation of Trade Unions of Kazakhstan on Monday, the agency reports referring to the prime minister's press service.

According to the press service, representatives of branch trade unions and the state bodies took part in the meeting.

"The meeting participants discussed the questions of social partnership and regulation of social and labor relations and strengthening of cooperation of trade unions with the central and local state bodies," the message informs.

During the meeting the chairman of Federation of Trade Unions of Kazakhstan, Siyazbek Mukashev, informed the meeting participants on the action- Conclude the Collective Agreement! aiming at expansion of trade-union movement in enterprises and organizations and increase of social responsibility of employers to their workers.

The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan acquainted the session participants with the current economic situation in the country and guaranteed realization of the plans on increase of wages for the employees of the budgetary sphere in 2009 by 25 %, in 2010 - by 25 % and in 2011 - by 30 %.

K. Masimov also called upon trade unions to continue cooperation practice with the central and local state bodies.
