Astana. April 11. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan positively reacts to the decision of NATO on railway transit of non-military cargoes through the territory of the Russian Federation and the Central Asian countries. NATO Secretary General's special representative for Caucasus and central Asia informed today at the press conference, the agency reports.

Russia and NATO have agreed earlier on ground-based transit of non-military cargoes through the territory of the Russian Federation to Afghanistan. The agreement was signed by the parties during Bucharest summit on April 4.

"This agreement - attempt to designate an alternative route for cargoes for our military personnel serving in Afghanistan. It makes it possible to transit cargoes through the territory of the Russian Federation," he noted.
