Kazakhstan President met Crown Prince of Kingdom of Norway in Astana

"Welcoming the Crown Prince, Kazakhstan considers Norway an important partner in Europe." "I consider Norway a very important partner in Europe. We remember that your country was one of the first that recognized our independence," N. Nazarbayev said.

The President of Kazakhstan expressed hope that the forthcoming Kazakhstan-Norwegian business forum, which will be held with participation of the Crown Prince of Norway, "will become an important factor for rapprochement of business circles of two countries."

The Crown Prince said that Norway highly appreciates the activity of Kazakhstan on non-proliferation of nuclear weapons.

He underlined that the presidency of Kazakhstan in OSCE is a sign of authority of Kazakhstan on the world scene. "Norway highly appreciates your work on non-proliferation of nuclear weapons. We consider that international importance of Kazakhstan increases and the presidency in OSCE is a sign of the growing influence of Kazakhstan on the world scene."
