Kazakhstan President signed decree on cutback of state employees

The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, signed the decree on optimization of the number of employees in the state-financed institutions and the budget of the National Bank of Kazakhstan, the agency reports citing official mass media.

Almaty. September 30. Kazakhstan Today - The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, signed the decree on optimization of the number of employees in the state-financed institutions and the budget of the National Bank of Kazakhstan, the agency reports citing official mass media.

According to the Department of Social and Economic Monitoring of the President's Administration of Kazakhstan, the number of employees of the state-financed institutions will be reduced by 15 % as well as the budget of the National Bank of Kazakhstan, the law-enforcement, and judicial budgets.

According to the decree, the number of employees in the state-financed institutions in the Republic will be reduced by more than 26 thousand people.

Budgetary savings as a result of optimization of the number of employees in 2011 will average 18.6 billion KZT. 14.3 billion - the republican budget funds and 4.3 billion - local budgets.

The decree will come into force from November 1, 2010.
