Kazakhstan President tops 'rating of trust' of CIS leaders

"The leaders of three countries - the Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Belarus competed for the leading positions in the 'rating of trust'. According to the survey, the President of Kazakhstan, N. Nazarbayev, took the leading position in the rating of the 'level of trust' among the citizens of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, and the Ukraine."

According to the Foreign Ministry of Kazakhstan, the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, took the second position - 22 % and the third - Victor Jushchenko - 13 %.

N. Nazarbaev occupies one of the leading positions in the 'rating of trust' of the Russians to the leaders of the CIS countries, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs.

According to the press service, the CIS countries were estimated by the following criteria: the level of success and development stability, the level of confidence of the leaders of these countries, reliability of partnership in relations with Russia, compliance with the rights of the Russian-speaking population, the level of interest to the historical and cultural heritage on the background of other CIS countries. 1600 people from 153 settlements in 42 regions, oblasts and the republics of the Russian Federation took part in the survey.
