Kazakhstan President visited Turkey

Almaty. October 2. Kazakhstan Today - The President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev visited Turkey on Sunday, the agency reports. During the N. Nazarbayev held negotiations with the President of this country Abdulla Gul, during which the leaders of two states discussed the prospects of bilateral cooperation. According to the press service of the Kazakhstan leader, "the parties discussed condition and prospects of political, trade and economic, energy, investment, and cultural-humanitarian cooperation."

During the N. Nazarbayev held negotiations with the President of this country Abdulla Gul, during which the leaders of two states discussed the prospects of bilateral cooperation.

According to the press service of the Kazakhstan leader, "the parties discussed condition and prospects of political, trade and economic, energy, investment, and cultural-humanitarian cooperation."

According to the press service, volume of commodity turnover between Kazakhstan and Turkey in 2006 reached $906 million, and has grown by 40 % this year in comparison with the last year. During negotiations the parties noted that Kazakhstan and Turkey have all opportunities for increasing economic cooperation and growth of commodity turnover up to $5 billion by 2010.

In the near future, Kazakhstan will sign the Program of economic cooperation with Turkey for 2007 - 2008 and the Plan of measures for its realization.

According to the press service of the Kazakhstan leader, N. Nazarbayev congratulated Abdulla Gul on his election for the post of the president and invited him to visit Kazakhstan.

The leader of Kazakhstan arrived in Ankara from Brazil where he was for a four-day state visit.
