Kazakhstan ratified Agreement on uniform rules of defining country of origin of goods

The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, on February, 17th, 2009, signed the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan on ratification of the Agreement on uniform rules of defining of the country of origin of goods, the agency reports citing the official mass media.

Astana. February 20. Kazakhstan Today - The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, on February, 17th, 2009, signed the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan on ratification of the Agreement on uniform rules of defining of the country of origin of goods, the agency reports citing the official mass media.

"The Agreement on uniform rules of defining the country of origin of goods, signed in Moscow on January, 25th, 2008, will be ratified," the document published in official mass media on Friday states.

As informed earlier, the Agreement provides creation of favorable conditions for development and trade on the basis of mutual benefit and international law and for strengthening of the multilateral trading system.

Ratification of the agreement will allow unifying the national legislations of the Customs Union member states in the area of defining of the country of origin of goods manufactured in the third countries, except for the goods manufactured in the developing and least developed countries and the countries having free trade contract.

The law has been developed with a view of formation of the legal base of the Customs Union of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Belorussia and the Russian Federation.
