Kazakhstan rendered humanitarian aid to Bulgaria

Astana. October 2. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan rendered humanitarian aid to Bulgaria in connection with flooding in this country in 2005 - 2006, Kazakh MFA press service informed the agency.

"The action symbolizes solidarity of our country with Bulgaria to the acts of nature...," the Head of Kazakhstan diplomatic mission Timur Urazayev emphasized last week in Sofia at the ceremony of the humanitarian aid transfer to the Bulgarian people.

In his turn, Bulgarian Vice Premier Minister of Emergency Situations Yemel Yetem thanked the government of Kazakhstan for the help and support. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, general flood damage in Bulgaria only in 2005 made more than $1 billion, thus more than 2 million people were injured and 22 died.
