Kazakhstan representative elected chairman of EurAsEC Cooperation Council in Atomic Energy Use

The representative of Kazakhstan was elected the chairman of the EurAsEC Cooperation Council for Atomic Energy Use yesterday during the sixth session of the Cooperation Council in Atomic Energy Use at the EurAsEC Integration Committee, the agency reports citing the association Nuclear Society of Kazakhstan.

Kazakhstan Today - The representative of Kazakhstan was elected the chairman of the EurAsEC Cooperation Council for Atomic Energy Use yesterday during the sixth session of the Cooperation Council in Atomic Energy Use at the EurAsEC Integration Committee, the agency reports citing the association Nuclear Society of Kazakhstan.

"The new chairman of the council was elected at the sixth session of the council for the next two-year term. The representative of the Republic of Kazakhstan has been elected the chairman of the Committee of Atomic Energy of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of Kazakhstan, T. Zhantikin, who has replaced in this post Vice General Director of the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom, N. N. Spassky. The representative of the Kyrgyz Republic - Director of Agency for Nuclear and Radiation Security of the Ministry of Emergency, D. S. Kushbakov, has been elected Vice President of the Council.

"The special working group reported on the course of the work on harmonization of the legislations of the EurAsEC member states in the field of account and control of the radioactive sources.

According to the association, the session participants heard the information of the state of affairs in the field of professional training for the nuclear sphere in the EurAsEC member countries. It has been decided to form a special expert group of the council to develop the concept of professional training in the sphere of peaceful use of atomic energy.
