Kazakhstan, Russia signed cooperation agreement in struggle against illegal drugs use

Astana. July 31. Kazakhstan Today - The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan and Federal Service of the Russian Federation for control over use of drugs signed cooperation agreement in struggle against illegal use of narcotics and psychotropic substances.

According to the press release of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan published on Monday, the signed agreement provides "an exchange of operative-search, operative-inquiry, criminal and other information representing mutual interest, realization of joint operations on stopping up drug trafficking channels.

The document stipulates rendering assistance in struggle against legalization of the profit received as a result of drug-dealing, interaction in the sphere of control over legal turnover of drugs, materials and equipment used for their production and regular exchange of work experience.

"Signing the agreement will allow to bring up the Kazakhstan-Russian cooperation in the sphere of struggle with drug trafficking to standard," the press release states.
