Kazakhstan to create program of financial and economic help to Afghanistan

Astana. March 14. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan proposes the international community to develop the program of financial and economic help to Afghanistan. The Kazakh Secretary of Security Council Berik Imashev said today at the international conference International Cooperation of the Republic Kazakhstan: Realities, Problems and Prospects, the agency reports.

"The main efforts are necessary to concentrate on eradication of this harm for more successful counteraction to transnational drug trafficking. In this context it is necessary to develop the programs of granting financial and economic help to Afghanistan to denarkotization of its economy and create stimulating conditions for export from this country legal products," B. Imashev said.

"With the assistance of the United Nations the regional international information centre in Almaty, which will coordinate joint antinarcotic activity in the Central Asia has been created. The creation of the center is acknowledgement of Kazakhstan adherence to the international obligations of pursuit of struggle against spread of drugs," he emphasized.
