Kazakhstan to expand OSCE dialogue with regional organizations in Asia

Kazakhstan during its presidency in the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) intends to expand the dialogue of the organization with the regional organizations in Asia. The address of the President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, to the participants of the Trans-Asiatic Parliamentary Forum 'Eurasian OSCE Dimension Forum' was read today by the OSCE chairman, the Secretary of State - the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Kanat Saudabaev, the agency reports.

Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan during its presidency in the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) intends to expand the dialogue of the organization with the regional organizations in Asia. The address of the President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, to the participants of the Trans-Asiatic Parliamentary Forum 'Eurasian OSCE Dimension Forum' was read today by the OSCE chairman, the Secretary of State - the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Kanat Saudabaev, the agency reports.

"Kazakhstan intends to pay special attention to the work with the Asian partners of OSCE and to undertake efforts to expand the OSCE dialogue with the regional organizations in Asia."

N. Nazarbayev said, "The initiative of Kazakhstan on convocation of the the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) has turned into the unique multilateral tool to maintain safety and cooperation on the Asian continent."

"We are glad to invite the chairman of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly and the representatives of the 'Three States' to take part in the third CICA summit, which will take place in June, 2010 in Turkey."

N. Nazarbayev underlined that Kazakhstan "regards presidency in OSCE as a recognition by the world community of the contribution of Kazakhstan in strengthening of regional and global security." "Practical experience of Kazakhstan will be useful to the OSCE in regards to voluntary and transparent liquidation of rocket-nuclear potential," the head of state underlined.
