Kazakhstan has been undertaking the most active efforts to resolve the situation in Kyrgyzstan. The CSTO Secretary General, Nikolay Bordyuzha, informed in Moscow, speaking about the results of the summit of the leaders of the CSTO member states taken place on May 8, the agency reports.

"I think, the authorities of Kazakhstan has undertaken specific efforts in the OSCE area as the chairman in this organization and in the CSTO area to provide stability in Kyrgyzstan," N. Bordyuzha said.

"It is clear that everything what occurs in Kyrgyzstan automatically influences the state of affairs in Kazakhstan. That is why the border has been closed and that is why today Kazakhstan provides the most notable and essential help to solve the economic and social problems goes in Kyrgyzstan."

CSTO - the military-political union of seven countries: Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
